"America is the most powerful nation in the world. However, we are in danger of damaging the future of this great nation by blatantly ignoring the ongoing fiscal crisis. Our $1.5 trillion deficit and 15 trillion dollar debt are unconscionable. Washington has lost its way. We don't run our homes like this, we don't run our businesses like this, and we certainly can’t continue to run our country like this! Passing a balanced budget amendment, simplifying the national tax code, and eliminating the deficit must be top priorities. Please join me in the fight for a brighter, more secure future for our kids. It is our responsibility to be conscientious stewards of this great nation."
